Anesthesia Implications

Position : Supine, Lateral, arms tucked
Time : 1-2 hours (average)
Blood Loss : High (200 - 500 ml)
Post-op Pain : High (7-10)
Maintenance Paralytic : Withhold until the airway is secured and proven in a symptomatic anterior mass; routine for middle or posterior lesions.
Considerations : Arterial line, Central line, High Blood Loss
